want to Volunteer for the IACP foundation's Rx Mixer?

The Rx Mixer is much more than a fun party. This event is one of the primary ways we have to fund a vitally important mission – to support the quality, integrity, and advancement of pharmacy compounding and its practitioners for the benefit of patients.

Why should you volunteer and/or contribute to the IACP Foundation?

Very simply, you are helping to ensure the future of compounding….

The IACP Foundation is a non-profit 501(c)(3) educational foundation and serves as the charitable extension of IACP with a mission to fund research and educational initiatives to advance the art and science of pharmacy compounding.

Each year, the IACP Foundation’s activities include:

  • Funding educational programs and research initiatives that enhance the quality, safety, responsiveness, and credibility of pharmacy compounding;
  • Funding students to attend Compounders on Capitol Hill; and
  • Sponsoring public education programs that aspire to acquaint health care professionals and the public with the importance of compounded medications in patient health.

This year’s total Rx Mixer fundraising goal is $200,000. We need your help to achieve this milestone! Your support and involvement is crucial in raising funds for the IACP Foundation so that we can continue the good works we started more than 14 years ago. Since 2005, the IACP Foundation has awarded more than $275,000 for studies researching compounded preparation potency and stability and outcomes of treatment with compounded medications and over $110,000 for students to attend educational programs on compounding, and essay winners. Your generous contributions enable us to continue the mission.

To put on an event like the Rx MIxer, it truly takes a team effort.  We need help before the event starts securing donations and contributions to fund the auction items.  We need help the day of the event setting up, and during the event we need even more people to help things run smoothly.  No matter where your talents lie, we have a spot for you!  Do you like to talk to people and help them out?  We need greeters and people to direct attendees to the event.  Are you detail oriented and organized?  We need help at registration and the auction check-outs.  Do you like to shop?  We need you to help at the silent auction tables and get other excited about shopping, too!

If you have any questions, please reach out to Jennifer Petska

The IACP Foundation relies on volunteers like you!  Our Board of Directors, Committee Chairs, and Committee Members make what we do possible.  We have multiple opportunities to serve the IACP Foundation.

Are you a natural born leader?  Have you considered running for an IACP Foundation Board of Directors position?  Or have you considered Chairing a Committee?

Are you a team player and enjoy working with a group?  Consider serving on a committee.  Currently the IACP Foundation is looking for volunteers for the Education, Award and Fundraising Committees.  Available Board of Director positions are announced each fall.

Only have a few hours to donate, consider volunteering during the IACP Foundation's annual fundraiser - the Rx Mixer.

If you have questions, let us know!  The IACP Foundation wants to work with you!

The IACP Foundation invites you to become involved in the future of compounding pharmacy by applying for a volunteer in one or more committees!
