IACP Submits Comments to Massachusetts State Board of Registration in Pharmacy/Sterile Compounding

The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) today submitted comments to the Massachusetts State Board of Registration in Pharmacy. The Massachusetts Board of Registration in Pharmacy (Board) within the Department of Public Health (Department) held a public hearing on the Board's proposed new regulation on Sterile Compounding (247 CMR 17.00) on Monday, November 13th. The proposed regulation sets standards for sterile compounding practice, as mandated by M.G.L. c. 112, § 39G. Please Note: Comments are due tomorrow, November 30, 2017 by 5 pm EST. You are welcome and urged to use IACP's letter contents in your own submissions to the Massachusetts Board. 

How to Submit Your Comments:

The Department encourages all interested parties to submit written testimony electronically to the following address: Please submit electronic testimony as an attached Word document or as text within the body of an email, with "BOP: 247 CMR 17.00" in the subject line. All submissions must include the sender's full name and address. The Department will post all electronic testimony that complies with these instructions on its website. Parties who are unable to submit electronic testimony should mail submissions to the Office of the General Counsel, Department of Public Health, 250 Washington Street, Boston, Massachusetts 02108. All written testimony must be submitted by 5:00 pm EST on Thursday, November 30, 2017.
