Operational Relationships:
Reports to the VP of Operations. Develops and executes marketing and communications plans to enhance IACP’s membership, advocacy and public relations programs. IACP is a professional organization whose mission is to promote and advance personalized medication solutions. Inherent in that mission is legislative and regulatory advocacy, media relations, member communications (both print and internet) and education.
Position Summary
This position is responsible for participating in marketing strategic planning, developing and executing both internal and external communication programs that support brand positioning and the strategic goals of the organization established by the Board of Directors and our membership. This position will play an integral role in helping to develop and manage integrated communications and marketing programs for a variety of member programs, products and services that will drive the next phases of growth for IACP.
This position will establish and maintain key vendor relationships necessary to achieve the organization’s stated goals and objectives. In addition, candidate must have strong creative and project management skills, including development of timelines and budgets, and possess a strong ability to work on simultaneous, multi-faceted projects with tight deadlines in a fast-paced, ever changing environment.

- Annual Meeting & CCH marketing and registration material

- The Pharmacist elink (1-2 times monthly)
- IACP Foundation e-newsletter (monthly)
- Action Alerts (as needed)
- Breaking news alerts (as needed)
- Web site
- Strategize site focus, features, content, updates
- Overall site maintenance
- Media
- Serve as media contact
- Forward professional media inquiries to appropriate expert
- Write and distribute press releases on IACP and IACP Foundation
- Monitor media related media stories
- Special Events
- Invitations and solicitation appeals
- Signage and vendor communications for Annual Meeting & CCH
- Manage photo coverage of special events
- Staff Liaison
- Publications committee
- Prepare agenda, Board packets and take official minutes at Board meetings
Education and Experience:
- Prior experience in association, non-profit, or corporate communications with proven project management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, English, or business-related field or equivalent experience.
- Previous experience in health care industry preferred.
- Knowledge of new media and web development tools and languages is preferred.
- Design background and experience with 4 color printing process as well as digital presentations preferred.
