Pharmacy name: Stanley Specialty Pharmacy, Charlotte, N.C.
Provide a brief bio of your career.
In 1991 I earned a BS degree from Indiana University. Upon graduation, I worked for a building materials manufacturer. In 1997, returned to school earning my PharmD in 2001 from the University of South Carolina. Falling in love with compounding in school, I took a position with Stanley Apothecary. In 2004, I purchased Stanley Apothecary (now Stanley Specialty Pharmacy). We earned PCAB Accreditation (Sterile & Non-sterile) in 2009. This summer we successfully navigated an FDA inspection.
Simply put, I am passionate about the compounding profession. Our profession is unique in its level of cooperation and collaboration. I want to help fellow compounders nurture and develop our sphere of influence; from patients to prescribers; fellow pharmacists to politicians. It is through this sphere that we can gain influence and affect change at home and in Washington, D.C. I wish to serve my colleagues through IACP to successfully navigate through the challenges our profession faces.
