Provide a brief bio of your career.

After graduating from Washington State University In 1989 Scott moved to Juneau, Alaska to begin work, working for Fred Meyer as a staff pharmacist and then Pharmacy Manager for 11 years. In 2001 I was able to change the direction of my career and purchased a well-established independent traditional/compounding pharmacy in Juneau with my wife Gretchen. I am active in our State Pharmacy Association as a past board member and currently with the legislative committee.  A highlight of my professional career was being awarded the Bowl of Hygea in 2014. Gretchen and I have been married for 24 years and have 3 wonderful children. As often as I can I will be found spending time outdoors fly fishing, hiking, hunting, running trails, camping, and flying in SE Alaska.

Please provide a statement of why you want to serve.

Being a member of IACP since the purchase of our pharmacy in 2001 and fully involved in compounding, I now look forward to the chance to contribute my time to help IACP further the mission of promoting and protecting our right to compound. Representation from all areas of compounding pharmacy is important and I have the experience to bring issues, concerns, and solutions to the board confronted by the independent community compounding pharmacy.  I feel it is essential to be involved in our professional organizations both locally and nationally and I am fortunate that I now have the time to commit and look forward to the opportunity to help compounding pharmacy.
