IACP Statement

IACP Executive Vice President/CEO David G. Miller, RPh, says, "New England Compounding Center was, despite its name, not a compounding pharmacy but a drug manufacturer operating without a license. The compounding pharmacy profession takes its work very seriously and always puts patients and their needs first. With the passage of new federal and state legislation, the profession operates in a highly regulated environment and compounding pharmacists adhere to, and even exceed, these regulations every day.

Today’s announcement is an important milestone in seeing that justice is served. Our thoughts continue to be with victims of this tragedy and their families."
