Provide a brief bio of your career.

 

Keith Guy graduated from the University of Mississippi School of Pharmacy in Oxford, MS in 1975.  Keith was an owner at Howard Brothers Pharmacy in McComb, MS for many years and in the forthcoming years purchased multiple pharmacies in Mississippi.  Keith currently owns five pharmacies, including Innovative Pharmacy Services, Inc. also in McComb, MS, and offers compounding as a service to the communities those stores service. Keith has been involved with PCCA and was awarded the Pharmacist of Month award in May 2012.  He is also a Fellow with IACP, ACA and ACVP.  He was presented with the Wyeth Bowl of Hygeia Community Service Award in 2008.  Keith has also recognized for leadership, business, and innovation by NCPA, Pike County and the Mississippi Pharmacists Association through the years. Keith enjoys teaching at his alma mater as a clinical instructor and as a preceptor.

 

Keith is a member of many pharmacy organizations and active in the pharmacy community.  He is a member of NCPA, Mississippi Pharmacists Association – Past President, APhA, IACP, the Institute for Functional Medicine, and American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M) to name a few.  He is married to his wife, Sharon Williams Guy, and they have three children and six grandchildren.  Keith is a member and Deacon of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church and a member, musician and singer of Dogwood Cross.

 

Please provide a statement of why you want to serve.

 

I am writing this to ask for your vote and support for my election to the IACP Board. I currently have 30 plus years experience in compounding and look forward to the opportunity of serving this community for many more. I am passionate about compounding and work diligently to advance my knowledge every chance possible.  I aspire to not only be a part of this compounding community but to serve it and protect it, as it has been such a profound part of my career.  Thank you for considering me; it would be an honor to serve.
