A Message from your IACP Foundation President

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make our 10th Annual Rx Mixer and our Fund-the-Future Scholarship Program a gigantic success during Compounders on Capitol Hill held in Washington, D.C., May 17-20, 2014. Your generosity helped us bring deserving pharmacy students to this phenomenal event. Something they will never forget!

Renad Abu-Sawwa, Michael Barton, Lena Charafi, Nicole Henry, Isaac Miller, Caroline Nguyen, Kim Giau Tran and Angela Yuen hit the ground running, even volunteering at Rx Mixer after a full day at CCH. Their enthusiasm and willingness to make the best of their scholarship was definitely noticed!

The students' Capitol Hill Day visits were extremely well received by our congressional representatives who were so pleased to have college students from their respective states in their offices.

History of IACP Foundation' Scholarship Program

We've come a long way since the beginning of our scholarship program! The program was initially called, "Scholarship Students," with only one student attending CCH in its inaugural year. The second year we had three students. Last year six students attended, and this year eight! Next year, our goal is to bring 10 pharmacy students to Compounders on Capitol Hill. Will you help us reach this mission?

To everyone who helped make Rx Mixer the most successful in our event's history - thank you, thank you. Your dedication to the IACP Foundation and Rx Mixer, our Party with a Purpose, is gratifying. We really couldn't do this without you.

Thank you,

Lisa D. Ashworth, BS, RPh
IACP Foundation President

Fund-the-Future Scholarship Program

The IACP Foundation's Fund-the-Future program raises monies to bring at least 10 pharmacy students to one of the most important events in pharmacy compounding - Compounders on Capitol Hill. This year, we're also expanding the program to enable up to five students to attend the annual ACA/IACP/ACVP Educational Conference in 2015.

This competitive stipend program enables students interested in a
career in customized medication preparation and management the opportunity to learn and network from practitioners, helping identify potential opportunities for professional development and future practice.
