Provide a brief bio of your career.
I have been a pharmacist for 30 years, business owner 18 years and I started my compounding pharmacy from scratch in 2001. I have held all the local and state association positions, being President of SDPhA in 2000. I have been awarded Pharmacist of the Year for SD, Women Breaking Barriers Business Award and SDSU Outstanding Alumni. While complying with the strictest standards, I work to always improve my facility and patient outcomes.
Please provide a statement of why you want to serve.
My nationally recognized commitment and support of compounding makes me the ideal candidate for the IACP Board. I started my compounding pharmacy in 2001, achieved PCAB accreditation in 2011 and was actively recruited to serve on the PCCA Advisory Committee. In 2014, my dedication and achievements were recognized when I received the Evelyn Timmons award for advocacy. I regularly attend Compounders on Capitol Hill, resulting in Congressional requests for input on the recent compounding legislation.
