CE credit and certificates of attendance will be provided only to those individuals who registered and logged into the webinar online. If you want CE credit and your certificate of attendance, you must have purchased the program and logged into the web portion under that registration so that we can verify attendance.

Within 24 hours of conclusion of the live webinar, attendees will receive an e-mail to the address provided with the online session evaluation. Attendees are required to complete the online evaluation for the CE session within one week after the conclusion of the webinar to verify attendance and acquire their CE. After the online session evaluation is completed, you will be emailed your CE Certificate of Attendance.

At the conclusion of the self-paced recording, please hit the Complete tab in the player to:

  • Take the seminar online evaluation to verify attendance and acquire CE.
  • View, save and print your CE Certificate of Attendance. 

It is the responsibility of the CPE attendee to provide their correct NABP e-Profile ID and birth date. If incorrect information is provided, the record will be rejected by CPE Monitor and the CPE credit will not be awarded. If you complete the online evaluation for the CE session within one week after the conclusion of the webinar, your CPE credits will be uploaded to the CPE Monitor System within 40 days of completion. Please monitor your NABP e-Profile account for accuracy. If you do not see CPE activity displayed for a session that you attended and it has been more than 40 days since you submitted the CPE to the provider, please contact your CPE provider.  If you have any questions regarding IACP continuing education programs, please email Macy Pruitt or call the IACP office at (281) 933-8400.

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are now required to submit their NABP e-Profile ID and birth date to receive credit for any ACPE-accredited CPE session. The new electronic system, CPE Monitor, will now track completed CPE credits online for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians. Please click here to register for your NABP e-Profile ID. As a reminder, this is neither your store number nor your pharmacist license number! Beginning January 1, 2013, a certificate of attendance is not sufficient to record your CE credit. All credit awarded by ACPE-accredited providers to pharmacists and pharmacy technicians must be via CPE Monitor.  If participants would like a paper statement of credit, they may print an individual statement of credit or a transcript from their CPE Monitor/NABP e-profile at www.mycpemonitor.net or www.nabp.net.

CPE Monitor:

CPE Monitor is a national, collaborative effort by NABP and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE) to provide an electronic system for pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to track their completed continuing pharmacy education (CPE) credits. It will also offer state boards of pharmacy the opportunity to electronically authenticate the CPE units completed by their licensees, rather than requiring pharmacists and technicians to submit their proof of completion statements upon request or for random audits. This initiative will streamline processes for pharmacy practitioners to ensure they are maintaining professional competency requirements. CPE Monitor is expected to save pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, state boards of pharmacy, and CPE providers time and money.


How it Works:

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will receive a unique ID after setting up their e-Profile with NABP. Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are now required to provide their NABP e-Profile ID and date of birth to the provider when they register for CPE or submit a request for credit. The system will then direct electronic data from ACPE-accredited providers to ACPE and then to NABP, ensuring that CPE credit is officially verified by the providers. Once information is received by NABP, pharmacists and pharmacy technicians will be able to log in to access information about their completed CPE activities.

Beginning January 1, 2013, ACPE-accredited CPE providers will no longer be required to distribute statements of credit. In addition, boards of pharmacy will have the option of requesting reports on their licensees, eliminating the need for pharmacists and technicians to send paper copies of CPE statements of credit. Instead, records kept in CPE Monitor will be sent to the boards for CPE activities taken from ACPE-accredited providers. In Phase 2 of the CPE Monitor initiative, CPE Monitor will add a function to record CPE from providers not accredited by ACPE in addition to CPE activities from ACPE-accredited providers. Until Phase 2 is completed, pharmacists and technicians will need to submit proof of completion of CPE from providers not accredited by ACPE directly to the board of pharmacy when required to do so.

How to Register for CPE Monitor:

Pharmacists and pharmacy technicians are asked obtain their NABP e-Profile ID now at www.MyCPEmonitor.net. To accomplish this, complete and accurate information must be provided. Any errors may result in unrecorded or mis-recorded CPE credit. In 2013, the service will make available the CPE data to boards of pharmacy who request information on licensee CPE as part of their compliance activities.

International Pharmacy Preceptors and Canadian Pharmacists:

If you are in need of an e-Profile and e-Profile ID to participate in Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education-accredited continuing pharmacy education (CPE) because you do not have a United States Social Security number, and are unable to obtain one from the Social Security Administration, please contact NABP Customer Service for further assistance as special handling is necessary. Please verify with your international board if they will accept ACPE CPE credit before you register for a program.

Benefiting Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians:

CPE Monitor will provide a secure, central system that maintains and tracks all continuing education credit from ACPE-accredited providers. This streamlined process will eliminate the need to file and maintain hard copy CPE statements of credit for CPE activities taken from ACPE-accredited providers. Instead, online access to their inventory of completed credits will allow pharmacists and pharmacy technicians to easily monitor their compliance with the CPE requirements of the state or states where they hold a license or registration. Licensees of participating boards will no longer have to mail hard copy proof of CPE statements of credit to those boards.

For added convenience, the NABP e-Profile is available 24/7 for pharmacists and technicians to view a comprehensive list of the CPE activities they have taken. All information will be maintained in a highly secure environment. NABP will not distribute any personal information for commercial purposes without consent.


Assisting State Boards:

This new program’s central repository of CPE information will enable efficient verification of a pharmacist’s or pharmacy technician’s completed CPE upon board request. It may reduce the need to conduct state-based audits of board licensees. State boards of pharmacy that participate in the program will be able to use this new tool to assist them in ensuring that pharmacists and pharmacy technicians have completed state-mandated CPE requirements for re-licensure, re-certification, or re-registration.

  

All sessions carrying the ACPE program number are approved for continuing
education credit. The American College of Apothecaries, Inc. is accredited by
the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing
pharmacy education. The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists’
programming is co-sponsored by the American College of Apothecaries.
