Plan to Join the ONLY pharmacist in Congress, Representative Buddy Carter (R-GA), our guest speaker at IACP’s COMP PAC Breakfast Saturday, February 28, 2015 during the 2015 ACA, IACP, ACVP Educational Conference. Congressman Carter will be sharing his insight and thoughts on the importance of bringing a united message on issues of importance to compounders and pharmacists to the Hill.
Why is a political action committee and COMP PAC important?
COMP PAC uses its funds to support those legislators that have demonstrated a commitment to compounding pharmacy and have expressed interest in advancing our legislative goals.
When the 114th Congress took its oath of office on January 3, IACP already had three major legislative priorities in the works that directly address YOUR needs. These include:
1. Our FIX DQSA initiative -- a multi-profession, multi-pronged solution to resolve the problems within the Drug Quality and Security Act affecting our businesses and our patients.
2. Reintroducing a constructive transfer bill in both the House & Senate to resolve once and for all the dispensing of a patient-specific controlled substance to a prescriber for administration to or treatment of that patient
3. Defending veterinary compounding from unnecessary and poorly considered federal legislation.
By purchasing a ticket to this fundraiser or by making a donation to COMP PAC if you're unable to come to Florida, you can provide the money needed to make sure that YOUR voice as a compounding pharmacist is heard by the major decision makers.
Space at the event is limited so reserve your seat early and help COMP PAC achieve its goal of raising funds to support candidates who recognize the value of compounding pharmacists and the services they provide.
