The Washington Examiner continued the media’s interest in the Appropriations debate, “Big Pharma Duels with Pharmacies in Funding Fight.” In the April 27th story, The Examiner lays out the battle brewing among Big Pharma, various pharmaceutical trade and advocacy groups on compounding pharmacists and their ability to provide office use medications.
Quoted in the article, IACP’s Executive Vice President John Voliva says, "For office use, the FDA continues to ignore clear Congressional intent ... where the states have clearly indicated pathways in which pharmacies can participate in office use compounding."
