IACP Announces Nominations for FDA’S Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee
The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) has submitted nominations to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee, a new panel that will advise the FDA on the implementation of the Drug Quality and Security Act.
IACP developed a list of 24 nominees who include practicing compounding pharmacists, consultants, academics, and experts in compliance and accreditation. The nominations are based on recommendations from the IACP’s membership and peers in the industry.
“Our group of nominees represent some of the most experienced compounding pharmacists and thought leaders in the industry,” said David G. Miller, R.Ph., IACP's Executive Vice President and Chief Executive Officer. “We are proud to put forth their names and are confident that those who are selected will serve the Pharmacy Compounding Advisory Committee well in its important work ahead in advising the FDA Commissioner.”
