|| The American College of Apothecaries, Inc. is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education as a provider of continuing pharmacy education. The International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists’ programming is co-sponsored by the American College of Apothecaries. This program is applying for 1.0 contact hours (0.1 CEUs) of continuing education credit for pharmacists and technicians.
IACP Foundation Seeks Grant Proposals for Spring 2014
The IACP Foundation Research Committee is now seeking proposals for funding consideration. Proposals will be considered on a case-by-case basis and funding may be awarded in whole or in part. A maximum of $10,000 is available per proposal for research conducted at or in conjunction with an academic institution. The IACP Foundation has also set-aside funds to stimulate practice-based demonstration projects and compounding pharmacists are encouraged to apply for these $2,000 grants.

Announcing the Spring 2014 Student Writing Competition
As part of its commitment to education, the IACP Foundation has established the Annual Student Writing Competition to recognize outstanding original papers on pharmacy compounding. The theme is The Role of Compounding Accreditation in Today's Pharmacy Environment.
Three winners will be selected by a review committee from the papers submitted and the writers of the best three papers will receive a $500 cash prize. All pharmacy students are encouraged to compete. The application deadline is April 15, 2014.
If you are a faculty member or a pharmacy student preceptor, make sure that each of your students know about this great opportunity to actively participate in the compounding profession. For those of you who have student pharmacists on rotation at your practice, this makes a great assignment for them!

Donate to Fund-the-Future by February 28th!
The IACP Foundation’s Fund-the-Future program raises monies to bring pharmacy students to the one of the most important events in pharmacy compounding – Compounders on Capitol Hill.
Your donation will provide pharmacy students a scholarship to attend its annual meeting of Compounders on Capitol Hill, being held May 17–20, 2014, in Washington, D.C.
Scholarships, valued up to $2,500 each, will cover the following expenses:

2014 Research Committee Appointed
The IACP Foundation Research Committee is responsible for defining the Foundation’s annual research agenda, to foster IACP Foundation’s mission by seeking and recommending research projects for funding that promote and advance pharmacy compounding.
