The ACA/IACP/ACVP Educational Conference invite all ACA, IACP and ACVP Members, pharmacy professors and pharmacy students/residents to participate in the Science and Practice Poster Presentation Showcase. The American College of Apothecaries (ACA), the International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists (IACP) and the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) are joining forces again to bring you an extraordinary Educational Conference, February 5-8, 2014 at the ocean front property, the Harbor Beach Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
Two Participating Pharmacy Student Scholarships Available
Through the generosity of donors of both the ACA Foundation and the IACP Foundation, the ACA/IACP/ACVP Educational Conference will be offering two pharmacy students a scholarship to attend the Educational Conference February 5-8, 2014 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida and participate in the Science and Practice Poster Presentation Showcase. Two poster presentation scholarships will be awarded and are valued up to $2,500.

Thomas C. Kupiec, PhD to Present the Latest on Quality Control and Quality Assurance Procedures for Your Pharmacy
Is your pharmacy up-to-date on the latest standards and regulations for compounding pharmacies? For IACP, Thomas C. Kupiec, PhD, CEO of Analytical Research Labs (ARL) presents Quality Assurance and Quality Control-Man, Machine and Method on Thursday, February 6 from 2:00-3:30 p.m. This session is designed to help the pharmacist deliver safe, reliable and accurate compounded preparations to their patients. This is accomplished by understanding the standards and regulations, and looking at practical examples of quality control, quality assurance and continuous quality improvement. This one and a half hour presentation will be beneficial for implementing quality control into your pharmacy.
At the conclusion of this educational session, the pharmacist and technician attendee will be able to:
Identify and understand current standards and regulations relating to compounding pharmacies.
Compare and contrast Quality Control (QC), Quality Assurance (QA) and Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI).
Identify at least one Practical Application(s) for each – QA, QC and CQI.
Discuss current standards and regulations relating to compounding pharmacies.
