The IACP Foundation recently awarded four research grants from the Fall 2012 application period. A total of $39,480 will be distributed.

Seeking Grant Proposals for Spring 2013 Grant Cycle 

As part of its semi-annual Requests for Proposals to conduct research into compounded preparations, the IACP Foundation is pleased to announce its Spring 2013 Grant Cycle with the issuance of our formal RFP.  We strongly encourage you to consider submitting a grant proposal and sharing this opportunity with your colleagues.  Complete details about the RFP – including the Foundation’s research agenda as well as particulars about submitting a grant – can be accessed by clicking here . Applications are being accepted now for the April 15, 2013 deadline.

Announcing the Spring 2013 Student Writing Competition
 
THEME - “Should Third-Parties Reimburse for Compounded Preparations Even If They Aren't FDA Approved?”

As part of its commitment to education, the IACP Foundation has established the Annual Student Writing Competition to recognize outstanding original papers on pharmacy compounding. The theme, "Should third-parties reimburse for compounded preparations even if they aren't FDA approved?"  Three winners will be selected by a review committee from the papers submitted. The writers of the best three papers will receive a $500 cash prize.  All pharmacy students are encouraged to compete.  The application deadline is Monday, April 15, 2013.  If you are a pharmacy student preceptor, please make sure that each of your students are aware of this great opportunity to actively participate in the compounding profession.

IACP Foundation Research Committee

The IACP Foundation Research Committee is responsible for defining the Foundation’s annual research agenda, to foster IACP Foundation’s mission by seeking and recommending research projects for funding that promote and advance pharmacy compounding. This Committee is even more important than ever before as we help document the value of customized medication services through demonstration grants, stability studies, practice-based research initiatives and more. 9th Annual Rx Mixer Celebrating

Dig out your old platform shoes, flared pants and neck chains and travel back in time to the disco days!  On Sunday, June 2, 2013, it’s the IACP Foundation’s 9th Annual Rx Mixer celebrating Sunday Night Fever at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va.  The night will include cocktails, buffet dinner, live auctions, Treasure Boxes, raffle packages and dancing to our funky music DJ.  So break out your dancing shoes and make plans to join us for a fun and outta sight night and help fund the Foundation’s research and education initiatives!  Enjoy fellowship with your colleagues from around the country while benefiting the IACP Foundation.
