New Jersey

Two bills have been introduced in the New Jersey legislature (Assembly Bill 3395 and its companion Senate Bill 2365) which would mandate PCAB accreditation status for all resident and non-resident pharmacies engaged in compounding of either sterile or non-sterile preparations.  Both bills have been assigned to committees however no hearings have yet been scheduled.

IACP opposes mandatory accreditation and continues to work with stakeholders in New Jersey to explain the potential impact of a non-regulatory non-profit organization having authority over a state’s practice act and rules.
