Members have reported that MI board inspectors have been instructed to advise all resident pharmacy permit holders that compounding of prescription medications must be “patient specific” and that the dispensing of “office-use” or sale of compounded medicines is prohibited.  No proposed language has been introduced or circulated at this time for public comment that changes existing regulations which appear to permit those practices.
