9th Annual Rx Mixer Celebrating
Sunday Night Fever

ARE YOU READY TO BOOGIE? We invite you to a far out fab disco dance with funkadelic good vibes! We are excited to announce that our 9th Annual Rx Mixer celebrating Sunday Night Fever will be held on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va. Last year’s Casablanca-themed event was a blast and this year we are going DISCO! Disco balls, Lava Lamps, big hair and sparkling accessories – transport yourself back to the glam days of Studio 54. The evening will include cocktails, buffet dinner, live auctions, Treasure Boxes, a new addition to our Rx MIXER line-up, and dancing to our funky music DJ. So break out your dancing shoes and make plans to join us for a fun and outta sight night and help fund the Foundation’s research and education initiatives! Enjoy fellowship with your colleagues from around the country while benefiting the IACP Foundation.

Nominate Your Pharmacy Student for the 2013 Annual Meeting Attendance Scholarship

Through the generosity of donors to the IACP Foundation’s Fund the Future program debuted at the annual Rx Mixer in 2012, the IACP Foundation will be offering six pharmacy students a scholarship to attend Compounders on Capitol Hill 2013, being held June 1–4, 2013, in Washington, D.C.

Scholarships, valued up to $2,500 each, will cover the following expenses:

  • Full registration for one person to attend Compounders on Capitol Hill 2013
  • Hotel accommodations for three nights
  • Round–trip economy class airfare for one person
  • Up to $250 in travel expenses for transportation, parking and meals not covered by registration

Last Call! IACP Foundation Seeks Grant Proposals

The IACP Foundation Research Committee is now seeking proposals for funding consideration.

The Research Agenda for these two cycles include three topic areas:

  1. Beyond Use Date (BUD) -- expanded stability and beyond use date research for compounded preparations
  2. Meta-Analysis -- produce literature evaluations of segments of pharmacy compounding (e.g., BHRT, autism, geriatrics, disease or patient populations)
  3. Clinical Applications -- practice based therapeutic studies on compounded preparations

Last Call! Fall 2012 Student Writing Competition
Explain Why Pharmacy Compounding Has and Continues to Be a Medical Necessity

As part of its commitment to education, the IACP Foundation has established the Annual Student Writing Competition to recognize outstanding original papers on pharmacy compounding. The theme is Explain Why Pharmacy Compounding Has and Continues to Be a Medical Necessity
