The IACP Foundation focuses on raising money on an annual basis to ensure that as much compounding research and education is being done as possible. Every year, the IACP Foundation hosts a fantastic party with a purpose, the Rx Mixer. The Mixer, held in conjunction with IACP’s Annual Meeting, raises money to fund the Foundation, grow the endowment and help fulfill its mission. Mixer attendees are treated to a fabulous evening complete with dinner, dancing, live and silent auctions. Since the first Rx Mixer fundraiser held in 2005, compounders and supporters of the compounding pharmacy profession have generously contributed more than $1.8 million to IACP Foundation's educational and research mission.

The Rx Mixer lived up to its reputation as “the best party in pharmacy” in 2008. For Rx Mixer brings on Heroes and Heroines, attendees dressed as their favorite hero or heroine, enjoyed delicious food, dancing, and even had their picture taken with Spider-Man! Thanks to the super volunteers and sponsors who made this event a success.

In 2006, Rx Mixer visited Mexico. Participants enjoyed a fun-filled fiesta made possible by many corporate and individual sponsors.

The theme for our inaugural year in 2005 was Rx Mixer Visits the Beach. A beach party beyond comparison was made possible by our presenting sponsor, International Journal of Pharmaceutical Compounding (IJPC), and many other corporate and individual sponsors.
