The IACP Foundation Research Committee is tasked with seeking
proposals for funding consideration. Proposals are considered on a
case-by-case basis and funding may be awarded in whole or in part. A
maximum of $10,000 is available per proposal for research conducted at
or in conjunction with an academic institution. The IACP Foundation
also has set aside funds to stimulate practice-based demonstration
projects and compounding pharmacists are encouraged to apply for these
The IACP Foundation is requesting grant proposals for
research focused on the financial implications of Prescription Benefit
Managers (PBMS) not providing coverage for compounded medications:
- Meta – Analysis: Produce literature evaluations regarding the
financial implications of PBMs not providing coverage for compounded
- Clinical Applications: Conduct pharmacoeconomic studies on PBMs not providing coverage for compounded medications

The Application Deadline is November 1, 2015. Grant Awards will be announced on December 15, 2015.
Since 2015, IACP Foundation has awarded more than $275,000 in grants to academicians and practitioners. The IACP Foundation strongly believes pharmacy compounding research is vital to further exemplifying the role of pharmacy in personalized medicine.
