IACP Foundation Seeks Grant Proposals for Spring 2014

The IACP Foundation Research Committee is tasked with seeking proposals for funding consideration. Proposals are considered on a case-by-case basis and funding may be awarded in whole or in part. A maximum of $10,000 is available per proposal for research conducted at or in conjunction with an academic institution. The IACP Foundation also has set aside funds to stimulate practice-based demonstration projects and compounding pharmacists are encouraged to apply for these $2,000 grants.

The IACP Foundation is requesting grant proposals for research focused on the financial implications of Prescription Benefit Managers (PBMS) not providing coverage for compounded medications:

  • Meta – Analysis: Produce literature evaluations regarding the financial implications of PBMs not providing coverage for compounded medications
  • Clinical Applications: Conduct pharmacoeconomic studies on PBMs not providing coverage for compounded medications

IACP's grant cycle just closed in April 2014. Stay tuned for announcements on upcoming research opportunities.
